This Privacy Policy applies to the Vybeto mobile application available on Google Play and the Apple App Store, and the website vybeto.com.

2. What data we collect

Account Data

• Email address (login and recovery only)
• Nickname — your real name is never required
• Profile photo (optional)
• Age range and gender (optional)
• Emoji interests and activity preferences

Location Data

• Approximate location when you post an activity pin
• We apply a fuzzy offset of 300–800 metres — your exact GPS is never stored or shared with other users
• Location accessed only when app is in use (foreground only)
• Revoke location permission at any time in device settings

What we do NOT collect

• Your real name · Exact GPS coordinates · Contacts, camera, or microphone without explicit permission · Any data when the app is not open · Data from other apps

3. How we use your data

• To show your emoji pins to nearby users matching your criteria
• To enable mutual connections and real-time chat
• To process Pro subscription payments via Razorpay (India) or Stripe (International)
• To send push notifications with your permission
• To improve the app using anonymised aggregated data only
• To comply with legal obligations

We never use your data for advertising and never sell it to any third party.

4. Third-party services

• Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, storage. Privacy Policy
• Mapbox — map rendering. Privacy Policy
• Razorpay — India payments. Privacy Policy
• Stripe — International payments. Privacy Policy

5. Data retention

• Activity pins expire and are deleted per the duration you set (24h–1 month)
• Ghost pins deleted 7 days after expiry
• Account data retained until you delete your account
• All personal data permanently erased within 30 days of account deletion

6. Your rights

• Access — request a copy of all data we hold about you
• Correction — update inaccurate data in your profile
• Deletion — delete your account and all data at any time
• Portability — request your data in machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent — revoke location permission in device settings at any time

GDPR (EU) and DPDP Act 2023 (India) rights are fully respected. Email vybetoapp@gmail.com to exercise any right.

7. Security

• All data encrypted in transit via TLS/HTTPS
• Firebase encryption at rest for all stored data
• Firestore security rules restrict per-user data access
• No passwords stored — we use OAuth and email link sign-in only

8. Children's privacy

Vybeto is not intended for users under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact vybetoapp@gmail.com immediately — we will delete it within 48 hours.

9. Changes to this policy

When we update this policy we update the date above and send an in-app notification for significant changes. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using the Vybeto app ("App"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old
• You must have legal capacity to enter a binding agreement
• You must not have been previously banned from Vybeto

3. Account responsibilities

• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Provide accurate information — no fake profiles
• One person, one account — no multiple accounts to bypass restrictions
• You are responsible for all activity under your account

4. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to: post false or misleading vybes · harass, threaten, or intimidate users · share explicit or graphic content · spam or post commercial advertisements · impersonate others · facilitate illegal activity · create fake pins to manipulate the map · attempt to hack or reverse-engineer the App.

5. Safety guidelines

• Always meet in public, well-lit places for a first meetup
• Tell someone where you're going and who you're meeting
• Trust your instincts — leave if anything feels wrong
• Do not share your home address in chat
• Report any user who makes you feel unsafe immediately

6. Pro subscription

• Vybeto Pro is a one-time payment for lifetime access to Pro features
• Processed by Razorpay (India) or Stripe (International)
• Refund available within 7 days if Pro features were not significantly used
• No refund if account is banned for Terms violations
• Vybeto reserves the right to modify Pro features with reasonable notice

7. Content ownership

• You retain ownership of all content you post
• By posting, you grant Vybeto a non-exclusive licence to display and store that content within the App
• You may delete your content at any time

8. Enforcement and termination

• Content violating these Terms may be removed without notice
• Accounts may be suspended or permanently banned for violations
• Serious violations result in immediate bans without warning
• Appeal a ban by emailing vybetoapp@gmail.com within 30 days

9. Limitation of liability

• Vybeto is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not responsible for the actions of users you meet through the App
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for Pro

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. EU consumer protection laws also apply for EU users. Disputes shall first be attempted via email at vybetoapp@gmail.com.

1. Be genuine

• Use a real, active account
• Do not impersonate people, brands, or communities
• Do not create fake pins, fake activity, or misleading vybes
• Do not spam the map to inflate visibility

2. Respect other people

• No harassment, threats, stalking, intimidation, or bullying
• No hate speech, slurs, or demeaning content
• No sexual content, explicit solicitations, or exploitation
• No doxxing or sharing someone else's private information

3. Keep it safe

• Meet in public places for first-time meetups
• Do not encourage illegal activity
• Do not share weapons, drugs, or violent content
• Do not use the app to exploit minors or target vulnerable users

4. Follow app rules

• One person, one account
• No reverse engineering, scraping, or abuse of app features
• No commercial spam, scam links, or phishing
• Follow local laws and the Terms of Use at all times

5. Reporting and enforcement

We may remove content, limit reach, suspend accounts, or ban users who violate these guidelines. Users can report content from within the app or by emailing vybetoapp@gmail.com.

Option 1 — Delete in-app (fastest)

• Open the Vybeto app on your phone
• Tap Settings (bottom right tab)
• Scroll to the Account section
• Tap Delete Account
• Confirm — your account and all data are deleted immediately

Option 2 — Email request

Email vybetoapp@gmail.com with:

• Subject line: Account Deletion Request
• The email address associated with your account
• Your in-app nickname (if you remember it)

We confirm deletion within 48 hours and complete it within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• Your account (email, nickname, profile photo, age range, gender, interests)
• All emoji activity pins you posted
• All place pins you posted
• All chat messages sent and received
• All connection requests sent and received
• Your subscription status

What is retained and why

• Anonymised usage statistics — aggregate counts only, cannot be linked back to you
• Transaction records — Razorpay/Stripe retain these per financial regulations; Vybeto only stores your Pro status (true/false) which is deleted with your account
• Safety records — if banned for safety violations, a record of the ban (not your personal data) is retained to prevent re-registration

Deletion timeline

• In-app deletion: Immediate
• Firebase backups: Within 30 days
• Email request: Within 30 days of confirmed request
• Confirmation email: Sent when deletion is complete

Built-in protections

• Fuzzy location — 300–800m random offset on every pin. Your exact position is never shared.
• Anonymous mode — Post your emoji only, no name or photo required.
• Mutual connect only — Both users must explicitly connect before any chat opens. Zero cold messages.
• No real name required — Ever. Use any nickname you choose.
• Block and report — Available on every profile and in every chat. One tap.
• Gender filter — Control who can see your activity pin.

Meeting safely IRL

• Always meet for the first time in a public, well-lit location
• Tell a friend or family member where you're going and who you're meeting
• Keep first meetups short — a coffee, a gym session, a short walk
• Trust your instincts. If something feels off, leave. No explanation needed.
• Don't share your home address, workplace, or financial information in chat

Tap any pin or profile in the app and tap the Report icon. Or email vybetoapp@gmail.com. We review all reports within 24 hours. Urgent safety reports within 2 hours.

Why we exist

Vybeto was built by a solo founder who moved to a new city and couldn't find a gym partner. Not a dating app. Not an event platform. Not another social feed. Just: I want to do this thing right now — who nearby wants the same?

We realised every social network forces you to lead with your face, career, or follower count. None of them ask the only question that actually matters for real-life connection: what do you feel like doing right now? So we built the app that asks it.
